Day
01 Selingan Island
(L,D)
Pick up from airport or hotel and transfer to jetty
for 1-hour boat ride to Selingan Island. Upon arrival,
check-in to a chalet and lunch at the cafeteria. Spend
the rest of the day with swimming or laze on the beach.
After dinner, you will be invited by a ranger to observe
the turtles laying their eggs on the beach and don’t
miss an exciting moment when the baby turtles rushing
to sea when they are released on the beach. Overnight
in your chalet. |
Day
02 Sepilok Orang Utan Centre
/ Sukau (B,L)
After breakfast, a boat ride return to Sandakan. Proceed
to Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre. Observe
the feeding of the Orang Utan in the forest. Watch the
scheduled video documentary show at the Sepilok Information
building. This 20-minutes video show will give you an
insight of the Orang Utan rehabilitation process and
it threats to survival. Depart for 3 hours journey to
Sukau. Upon arrival, check-in and lunch at Bukit Malapi
Lodge. In the afternoon, embark for river cruise to
the Menanggol River, a tributary of Kinabatangan River
to search for wildlife including the unique Proboscis
Monkey, hornbills, kingfishers and many others. Overnight
in Bukit Malapi Lodge. |
Day
03 Gomantong Cave / Sandakan
City Tour (B,L)
After breakfast, depart for Gomantong cave. Upon arrival,
take a 15 minutes walk to the cave, the short jungle
walk will take you to the unique limestone vegetation
ad lowland forest, here you can observe birds and primates.
Explore one of the fascinating cave in Sabah, the cave
is home to the millions of bats and swiflets. After
exploring the cave, return to Sandakan and proceed to
Puh Jih Sih Chinese temple, located 300m above sea level.
Proceed for lunch at local restaurant. Drive around
Sandakan Town and see the busy street and market. Proceed
to Sim Sim Water Village where you can see houses one
stilt occupied by the Malay and Chinese people. Transfer
to Sandakan airport for your return flight to Kota Kinabalu. |
