Pick-up
from hotel lobby, transfer to the Monsopiad Cultural
village (approx. 15 minutes drive from the city centre).
Scenic views of mostly kampung lifestyles are abundant
and lay off before you as passing by through the country
side heading to Monsopiad Cultural Village. Upon arrival,
you will be greeted with a welcome drink of local rice
wine. Follow your guide to visit the various traditional
farmhouses that display several traditional tools, baskets,
weaving equipments and musical instruments. At the “House
of Skulls”, there are 42 skull collected by the
headhunter warrior Monsopiad. In the end of tour at
Monsopiad Cultural Village, enjoy a cultural dance performance.
Lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, proceed to
Filipino Market, the Sabah’s handicraft centre.
Then, transfer to Wisma Tun Mustapha (formerly known
as Sabah Foundation Building), the 30-storey tower block
is one of the few buildings in the world that utilize
a single rods column structure. After that, depart for
Heritage Village at Sabah State Museum. Photo stop at
State Mosque before transfer back to your hotel. |
