close to see the gentle and shy Wildman of Borneo, the
famous Orang Utan at Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation
Centre in Sandakan, the world largest Orang Utan sanctuary.
Study found that Orang Utan “Pongo Pygmaeus”
have similarity of 96.4% of our human genes. The Orang
Utan are preserved and protected in Sepilok and to encourage
their survivor in the jungle, the centre offers additional
feeding in forms of bananas, milk and sugar cane.Watch
them emerge from the forest to feeding flat form during
the feeding time and their naughty act will definitely
steal your heart.
Proceed
to Puu Jih Shih Buddhist Temple built on the hilltop
of Tanah Merah for a breathtaking view of the Historical
Sandakan City. After lunch, take a short drive through
local market and chance to explore a water village before
heading back to hotel or boarding your flight to Kota
Kinabalu.
